Peachland, with a population nearing 5,000, is a unique and vibrant community with a rich history. Its located along the Okanagan Lake and if you take a moment, breathe deeply and scan the horizon, you might begin to understand why Peachland is coveted by its residents, and envied by its neighbors. It is situated on the southwest shores of the lake between Kelowna and Penticton on Highway 97. This central valley location makes it a desirable area, close to many neighbouring Okanagan communities. This area sports swimmers, sunbathers, roller bladers, walkers, cyclists and many others who just want to soak it all up! Quaint shops and quality eating establishments abound.
As well as the long stretch of beach, Peachland has many parks and recreational areas located throughout the town as well as festivals throughout the year like the World of Wheels Car Show, The Peachland Triathlon, The Rattlesake Island Swim and the Valley Music Festival. Although tourism makes up a large part of its economy, Peachland is also well known for its rich fruit and wine industry.
