Summerland, with a population of 11,000 is a truly unique community. Founded in 1902 and named after the area’s sunny climate, Summerland is set amongst orchards and vineyards and surrounded by sandy beaches, rolling hillsides and is perched next to gorgeous Lake Okanagan. Along with its quaint Tudor theme and beautiful setting, the town has a vibrant arts community with many festivals and activities for the visitor to enjoy all year-round such as the famous Festival of Lights.

Giant’s Head Mountain is situated in the core of an extinct volcano and provides exceptional views of the valley. Visitors can partake in winery tours, water-sports, ride on the famous Kettle Valley Railway, and visit nearby Provincial parks, the Summerland Museum and the Agricultural Research station with its breathtaking ornamental gardens.
